- Department of pathology of the hip joint No. 2
III-department
The head of the department is a traumatologist-orthopedist of the highest category -
Shamukimov Shukhrat Abdushukurovich.
The department treats patients with dysplasia of the hip joints, congenital dislocation of the hip, the consequences of acute hematogenous osteomyelitis (pathological dislocation and subluxation of the hip), Legg-Calvet-Perthes disease, juvenile epiphyseolysis of the femoral head, varus deformity of the necrosis and proximal head hips, dysplastic coxarthrosis, etc.
The department annually performs more than 250 reconstructive and restorative operations of all categories of complexity.
The 35-bed department is located on the fourth floor of the center building. The wards are designed for 4 patients. The department has 4 rooms with enhanced comfort.
In the surgical treatment of young children with hip dysplasia and congenital hip dislocation, low-traumatic methods of intervention are used to stabilize the hip joint early and ensure its further optimal development. Reconstructive and restorative interventions on the pelvic and femur bones are used in older patients, which are an effective measure for the prevention of early coxarthrosis (double pelvic osteotomy, rotational osteotomy of the femoral neck).
The department also deals with the treatment of patients with treatment:
♦ Congenital malformations (polydactyly, syndactyly, ectrodactyly, brachydactyly, adactyly, aplasia of the rays of the hand, radial and ulnar clubhand, brachioradial and radio-ulnar synostosis, gigantism, etc.);
♦ Acquired deformities (consequences of trauma, thermal and electrical burns, infectious processes of the upper limb and other segments of the musculoskeletal system;
♦ Congenital malformations of the feet: split foot; congenital and acquired planovalgus and multiplanar deformities of the feet; congenital reduced foot deformities; complex forms of polydactyly; combined flat feet; malformations of the forefoot.
One of the main directions is the creation of a comprehensive system for treating children with congenital clubfoot of varying severity. The method of treatment of this malformation according to the method of Ignacio Ponseti, which is globally accepted by the "gold standard", has been actively introduced.
The department's specialists perform the following types of surgical interventions:
♦ reconstructive surgery on the hip joint for congenital and acquired pathology (congenital dislocation of the hip, pathological dislocation of the hip, plow vara, coxa valga, coxa plana);
♦ surgical compensation for inequality in the length of the limbs, limb deformities;
♦ surgical treatment of limitation of movement in the joints of the extremities (contractures, ankylosis);
♦ surgical treatment of arthrogrypotic deformities of the upper and lower extremities;
♦ surgical treatment of developmental anomalies of the upper limb (clubhand, syndactyly - fusion of fingers, polydactyly)
♦ surgical reconstruction of feet in children with congenital and acquired deformities.
