Republican Center for Pediatric Orthopedics

The center is the only center not only in Uzbekistan, but also in Central Asia, capable of solving complex problems in the field of pediatric orthopedics.

The Republican Center for Pediatric Orthopedics provides advisory, diagnostic and therapeutic assistance to patients (children and adolescents) with congenital and acquired diseases and the consequences of injuries of the musculoskeletal system.

The center has 175 beds for children with diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system and has 5 specialized surgical departments, an operating unit with an anesthesiology and intensive care unit, laboratory units, related and auxiliary services. Every year, the center performs about 1,500 operations, most of which are high-tech, expensive types of medical care, in addition to surgical interventions, you can get advice and recommendations.

The main directions of research and practical activities of the Center:

improved reconstructive and restorative methods used for congenital and pathological hip dislocations;
various types of pelvic osteotomy for congenital, pathological dislocations;
innovative methods of surgical treatment of kyphoscoliosis; corrective corsets of the Chenot type, intended for the conservative treatment of childhood scoliosis;
thoracoplasty according to D. Nuss with funnel chest deformity;
development of temporary blocking of growth zones in angular deformities of the knee joint;
tendon-muscle plastics for spastic paralysis in children;
reconstructive and microsurgical operations for congenital and acquired pathology of the hand and upper limb;
correction of deformity of the foot and lower limbs;
arthroscopy of large joints of the limbs;
clubfoot treatment according to the Ponseti method.

The personnel potential of the RCOC has 27 doctors, most of whom are doctors of the highest category, candidates of medical sciences. In this case, the treatment of orthopedic diseases is carried out by the specialists of the RCOC and their partners.

The center is equipped with medical equipment that has the characteristics of the latest technical world developments. The center has all the necessary conditions for the reception, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of children with musculoskeletal disorders.
